News and announcements

(15 Apr 2009) Dominica WebRing not active anymore

Dominica WebRing hasn't been an active webring for a while. Domnik.net ceases from its operation. Ring's page at WebRing.com is still there if someone wants to take over the ringmaster status and continue the operation.

The ring homepage is left here at Domnik.net for archival purposes only.

(18 Mar 2006) New layout for Dominica WebRing

RingMaster of Dominica WebRing has created a new CSS-based layout for the ring homepage. Compared to the old one it is more lightweight and follows more closely to the standards. At the same time, a new counter starting from zero was added to the site.

(5 May 2005) New HTML navigation bar launched

Dominica WebRing has a new HTML bar. The standard JavaScript SSNB by Webring.com hasn't worked very well. It often makes the webpages sluggish, doesn't work with JavaScript turned off and breaks easily if members move their webpages. Hence the Dominica WebRing introduces a new HTML navigation bar that fixes all these problems and also is customizable for advanced users.

Existing members with JavaScript SSNB do not have to change the code, the old one will continue to work. Those who wish to change to the new navigation, please find the code and instruction at the Join page (of course you don't have to apply again for ring membership).

(15 Sep 2002) Ring moved

Home page of the Dominica WebRing has moved to new server. Its new URL is http://www.domnik.net/links/ring/ . All the ring members who use HTML link box should replace the old URLs (either www.delphis.dm/webring/ or www.geocities.com/mantsarinki/dominica/) by the new one.

(12 Apr 2002) New RingMaster to Dominica WebRing

Dominica WebRing is no more an abandoned ring. It used to be but now Webring.com has handed the ring out to a new RingMaster who is Niko Lipsanen, a Finnish geographer. Ring is back in operation and welcomes both new members and the old ones that had left the ring because of its former malfunction. Welcome!
